A Basketball Court Transformed into a Community Artwork
Shimon Wonda, a leading graffiti artist, renovated the basketball court at Levinson School in Kiryat Yam—where he himself studied as a child—thanks to a donation from BG Bond. Wonda transformed the court into a vibrant community artwork, bringing color, life, and inspiration to the surrounding urban space.
Photos of the project were even showcased at the “Local Testimony 2023” exhibition at the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv.
BG Bond applied SIMPLY COATS—an advanced acrylic coating series for sports courts and surfaces—at the basketball court. The system is designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and strong UV radiation typical of the Israeli climate. Produced with a unique polymer base, the coating is also suitable for tennis courts, bicycle lanes, and walking paths. It provides high adhesion strength, the ability to bridge micro-cracks, and long-term elasticity. These features prevent wear and preserve both the quality and color of the courts for many years to come.
